The story of Lunaris didn’t begin in a tech lab or with a viral Kickstarter video. It started in a cramped subway train at 6:30 AM. Ethan, the founder of Lunaris, noticed a woman staring blankly at her phone, coffee in one hand, dark circles under her eyes. She looked tired — not just physically, but soulfully.
That evening, Ethan couldn’t shake the image. A former sound designer, he asked himself a quiet question: “What if waking up didn’t feel like an alarm, but an invitation?”
He began prototyping an entirely new kind of alarm clock from his kitchen table — one that didn’t blare or flash, but rose like morning tide: soundscapes of birds, warm lights, breathing prompts, and affirmations to begin the day grounded, not jolted.
A morning that feels like a gentle beginning
In a spare bedroom turned workshop, Ethan and two close friends spent 14 months testing natural light transitions, sound frequencies, and the psychology of waking. After 129 iterations, they launched the first version of the Lunaris DawnClock.
Then one morning, an email arrived:
“Your clock helped me finally sleep without anxiety and wake up without panic. It’s changed how I live.”
That message became a compass. Lunaris didn’t just build alarm clocks. They created rituals of restoration for busy souls craving peace.
